terrain based training

Instead of riding a presribed intensity, I'm just riding but choosing some routes that force some effort.

Out 460 up Brush and Gap mtns to the front side of Mtn Lake. Up, Down, back.

4x minor climbs
1x major climb
2.5 hrs
12.7mph average

The other day rode with a neighbor to show some trails then up Beast.

I remember working for a peak one year for the Potts Mt race. I was supposed to do 3 days of intervals in a row (I was much, much younger). After 2 days of gut-busting speed work I just couldn't stomach a third, so I just dropped down into Lusters Gate and rode up Nellie's Cave. A terrain-forced LT workout.
